About Albert Levi

Albert Levi
I am an Israeli painter. I began to paint four months before I finished my service in an elite commando unit, looking for quiet. It became my life's work.

Responsibility came before comfort
I grew up learning things earlier than I expected. Some experiences stayed with me longer than others.
I am not here to present a polished version of myself, only the real one, shaped by choices, pressure and time.
For years, what I felt had nowhere to go. Four months before I finished my service, I picked up a brush. I never studied art. I was looking for quiet.
"I felt a tranquility I had never felt before."

I came back as an artist
After more than 150 days of combat in Gaza, I returned not only as a soldier, but as an artist with a mission: to paint the soul of Israel.
My work changed. It became my way of processing what I carried, and of giving other people something to hold on to.
"Art should do more than decorate a wall. It should slow you down, and make you feel something real."
Albert LeviLayers, texture and a palette knife
I work mostly in acrylic, building layered surfaces with bold gestures, careful details and hand finished elements. My paintings are known for movement, rich texture and an energy that balances intensity with calm.
Acrylic on canvas, built with a palette knife in intuitive, layered surfaces.
I let the process lead, so no two pieces are ever the same.
Each piece is made to hold space, not just to fill it.
